Opensolaris : The "Mega" Project of a doggy :-)

Hi all,
Someone from computer science department (calls himself taggy ) is currently the lead developer in one of the "mega" projects of our college . Taggy's current job in the group is to install opensolaris in one of the sun comps in the department . Wow . :-)

And he is currently the only member in the team ,which is gonna conduct meetings about opensolaris, java and other stuff who has worked in opensolaris till now :) :) . So taggy is currently considered as the god of opensolaris in the group and "people" ( no need to mention whom ) are currently getting help from him every now and then about opensolaris and "other" stuff.

With Feb 14 round the corner, i wont be surprised if the "mega" project leader gets a opensolaris dvd as a gift from this opensolaris linux geek. :) :)

Old Sun Lab

Well i dont know exactly but i think i have started hating sun lab. That could really be a surprise for a few but sun lab has really changed after shagan, manu & co has left the place .

With those guys around work was never work , it was always fun . With shagan saying a "mokka baadu" or "psycho" for every two minutes or manu trying to sing some song and tease shagan every now and then , you never felt tired of working .

But now things have changed. With a new pragyan comps there is always some one or the other who does not belong to the lrsl group. Enter sun lab , you always find more than one work waiting for you. And you will find some hot discussion going on about pragyan cms or dalal or bytecode or posters or some shit.

And seriously i cant believe that once me , taggy , manu and shagan played cricked ( yes we played once ) in sun lab . And codelabs comp which used to be the movie server has now become the development server for bytecode 07. FUCK . Seriously i am hating this , hating this to the core . :-( :-(.

The blog tells that this "and whats more with lesser people every nightout here is fun". Certainly it is not the case now . Everynight out is becoming a terror now with deadlines rapping one really really bad . Read this once in alagu's blog. Never realised that it will become true so soon :-( :-(.

GOD please save me , save SUN LAB .

Linux King gets Damaged

There was a boy who lived, tought GNU/Linux and inspired a lot of juniors to learn Linux. He was a person talked about in the college for Linux. Whenever someone had some problem with Linux , "Ask him!"

It happened that this boy wrote a software for the college which maintains a record of the list of songs that a shoutcast server plays. After sometime the boy got really busy in Kuldtpi that he had to give this server to someone else. And people volunteer to handle this server, and there was a final year among them.

Location : LRSL, Rhythm(178.1.3.205 :) )
Time : Just after class is over (4-5PM)

Final Year:Hello Boy, I am final year! I want to handle this rhythm server.
Boy: Oh.. Like... what do you want.. Like.. what do you want to do with the server?
Final Year:(Blinks) I want to add new songs and maintain the server
Boy: Like.. the software is already done. Like..You just have to upload the new songs. Okay?
FY: Ok. No problem.
Boy:Like.. do you want the server now?
FY:Not the server, but an account in the server would be fine.
Boy:(Laughs as if it was a great joke) Yeah, I mean the same thing.

FY drags a chair and sits near the sheeplike-boy. Boy tries to do something using the keyboard. FY sees the screen and keyboard as if some wonder is going to happen. Boy opens a browser and opens the server page, which has the boy's software.

Boy goes to the admin login page. Types the username and password. Invalid UserId/Password says the computer. FY watches the Boy's face. Boy looks up as if he is thinking something or coining a new password. Boy types something again in the login box. Invalid UserId/Password. Boy goes to the database admin and changes the password manually. FY is still watches with silence.

Finally Boy sets a new password. Logs in (Successful). Now he shows the software with a pride. He clicks on all the links and shows to FY. FY watches everything without any special reaction. He clicks on one of the link to add a new language. He illustrates the versatility of his software by adding a new language. He types "Hindi" in the language box. Write Failed. No write permission in the given folder. Boy blinks. Looks outside the window, looks up.

Boy:I'll fix this. I'll give you an account first.
FY: Ok. No probs.

He opens the add new user option and adds a new user
Boy: (Finally something is working) Here is your username and password...
FY: Thanx!, but how do I login.
Boy: Let us go to user lab.
FY:Ok
(Both of them move to windwos lab)

Boy:(logs in and opens a new run window and types the share: Share access denied)
Boy:(Shit!)
Boy:Like.. there is a small problem in the system. I'll tell you as soon as it gets fixed. Give me your number.
FY:(Puzzled) Ok, take my number, 98xxxxxx

After this meeting, Boy didn't meet FY at all. FY met another FY in his batch, who referred him to meet Boy.

AFY: Hey, you asked Boy about Rhythm?
FY : Yes, I asked him.
AFY: And?
FY : Boy could have installed the program in windows itself.
AFY : Why da?
FY : Poor guy, he didn't know how to use Linux
AFY : Wha?!! (Gasping)
FY : Yeah, he was stumbling and mumbling that day and he asked me to come some other day
AFY : Hey, you met the right person or some one else. That guy is GOD in Linux (lol)
FY : Fuck you. He doesn't know anything. He just types some three commands again and again in the terminal.

Since then Boy is seen running to find a place to hide whenever FY was nearby :)

Poster generators in Web. Too good

I recently checked out some image generators and one of them was the news paper generator which i already posted .

Today i came across a wanted poster generator and the moment i saw this i thought for a second about to whom i should create a wanted poster .

Actually i wanted the all time "SPI-Library", "Leaks king", "oolemari ", "mullamari ", "420 " , "kaedi "of NITT and i never had to think long for the person .

It wasn't so senti when we took those photos. Now, It feels so bad to see that.When I go back to SUN lab next semester it would seem empty without those four heads.

These four chaps were with us all the time, helping us out , adivising, making fun, playing, watching movies, breaking each others' passwords and the list is endless.

Though we may see each other in some other place, it won't be like the time we spent together in the sun lab. It was a wonderful time with you seniors, all three years patting us around as our brothers :,-(

We are really proud to be your juniors. Those wonderful moments we spent together.

Appaji,Shagan,Manu & Sooj, We'll miss you people a lot. God knows when we all will meet again together :,-( . Wish you a bright future.

Thanx for hari for putting a detailed
procedure of how it could hav been done...

But still ther is a X% prob that..
I could have hacked his account wen u logged into nosip (i need not.. i hav root pass) ..
Started a Spyware prog which took screenshots at intervals..
Unfortunatly(;-)) with Y% prob that the tabs wer the same..

But u know i need not explain with such a pain like u..

One small point wud hav been enough.. hari u didnt find that
address bar of the picture had "community address" but it was showing a "profile" of a member..
I thought u wil figure that out.. Better luck next time

Hi people,
I am forced to post this blog to save myself from shaganantics.
Now what is shaganantics .??
A broad definition is : Anything done by shagan is shaganantics

But generally shaganantics ends up in personal damage to one or more people , like me :-(.

So what was the blog posted previously all about.
It is a well known fact being a being a GNU/LINUX user shagan knows how to use GIMP. And unfortunately for me , he knew it a lot better.
